The X-Ray Telescope (XRT) is an instrument on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) SWIFT spacecraft. The thermoelectric cooler (TEC) for the charge coupled device (CCD) of the XRT requires a radiator temperature of -35 C or colder, and a goal of -55 C to minimize the damage by radiation.
